A consulting firm built on the
discipline of having to live with the recommendation.
We advise less. We build more. We stay accountable for what ships. Miragedigital is a senior-led, agent-augmented technology practice based in Berlin, built for the DACH Mittelstand — nearly twenty years of product and engineering leadership at CPO/VP level, running the same model on ourselves before we sell it: an active company acquisition, an AI recruiting platform in production, and a nightly automated security pipeline catching real vulnerabilities.
We were tired of consulting that doesn’t ship.
Most strategy work fails at the team boundary. A deck gets approved; nothing changes on the operating floor. The consultants leave; the organisation goes back to what it was doing on Friday. The numbers move briefly — if at all — and then drift back.
Mirage was built to operate on the other side of that boundary. We don’t hand over a recommendation. We co-design the operating model, embed inside the leadership team, ship the first wave with them, and coach ourselves out.
Our advantage is that every person in the firm has run product, design, engineering or delivery inside a real company — under deadline, in front of a board, with a P&L behind them. That discipline shapes everything we do: how we phrase a recommendation, when we choose not to, and how we measure whether the work actually held.
Six commitments. Behaviours, not posters.
We don’t put values on a poster. We hold each other accountable to behaviours. Each one shows up as a meeting, an artefact, or a habit — the same discipline we bring to every client engagement.
Culture is what teams actually do under deadline.
Values only matter when they show up in how teams plan, build, and ship. If they don’t survive a Friday afternoon, they were decoration.
AI is load-bearing, or it isn’t there.
Model routing, evals, agent workflows and MCP belong inside the workflow — not on the brochure. We treat AI as infrastructure first.
Repeatable expansion, not heroics.
If a new country, payment or campaign needs an engineer, the system isn’t finished. The platform you can configure is the one you don’t have to staff for.
Design, Research, Engineering, QA, DevOps — one line.
Teams that own the whole product own the whole outcome. We refuse engagements where accountability is split across silos.
Recruit operators. Mentor everyone.
Career frameworks, micro-reviews and coaching are part of every engagement. We’re building organisations, not features.
If it can’t be measured, it doesn’t exist.
Every initiative has a KPI tree back to the company strategy. No exceptions, no vanity metrics, no “directional” thinking that hides the result.
Senior practitioners, organised into pods.
We staff every engagement from a bench of principal-level operators — each one a domain lead who has shipped at scale, not a rotating analyst. For every client, we assemble a pod around the problem: platform, experience, design, and product, working as one accountable line.
End-to-end system architecture and unified scalability. Designs flawless microservices and data layers built for 100× future load — minimalist logic, root-cause first.
Node.js and Python systems with AI/LLM integration at the core. Prompt infrastructure, eval frameworks, and adaptive-learning platforms built test-first.
End-to-end CI/CD automation and self-healing pipelines. Zero-downtime deploys across Vercel and Render, with schema migrations audited on every release.
Maps the full impact surface before a line is written. Owns design-system fidelity, bundle discipline, and the performance budgets that gate every merge.
Champions the “dumb frontend” — complex logic stays in the API, the client stays fast and clean. Core Web Vitals, TypeScript rigor, and locale-aware delivery.
Motion-first, performance-always. Crafts interfaces that feel as fluid as a native app — spring physics, staggered reveals — never at the cost of accessibility.
Atomic design systems and high-fidelity prototyping, grounded in technical feasibility. A design isn’t finished until the code implementation is equally beautiful.
Cross-platform UX, conversion, and user-flow integrity. Decisions backed by weighted evidence from every discipline — never designed in isolation.
Customer-value maximisation and business-goal-driven development. P&L, OKRs, and AI / adaptive-learning strategy — every feature mapped to a profit model.
Business-impact analysis and full-funnel optimisation. Architects the single source of truth for product data and turns user behaviour into investment decisions.
Talks, panels, and the occasional podcast.
We speak when we have something to add — usually about AI-native product organisations, internationalisation patterns, or the operating-floor version of leadership topics that get over-discussed and under-practiced.
Operating models for the AI-native era
A working talk for CPOs and founders on how AI changes team topology, discovery, and the cadence of release. 40 min + Q&A.
From spreadsheet to configuration-driven platform
A 90-minute workshop on identifying the axes of variation your platform should support natively before it scales.
Radical candor and the operating floor
A panel for leadership conferences on what candour actually looks like when it’s practiced as a habit instead of a value.
