— Operators, not advisors

A consulting firm built on the
discipline of having to live with the recommendation.

We advise less. We build more. We stay accountable for what ships. Miragedigital is a senior-led, agent-augmented technology practice based in Berlin, built for the DACH Mittelstand — nearly twenty years of product and engineering leadership at CPO/VP level, running the same model on ourselves before we sell it: an active company acquisition, an AI recruiting platform in production, and a nightly automated security pipeline catching real vulnerabilities.

— Manifesto

We were tired of consulting that doesn’t ship.

Most strategy work fails at the team boundary. A deck gets approved; nothing changes on the operating floor. The consultants leave; the organisation goes back to what it was doing on Friday. The numbers move briefly — if at all — and then drift back.

Mirage was built to operate on the other side of that boundary. We don’t hand over a recommendation. We co-design the operating model, embed inside the leadership team, ship the first wave with them, and coach ourselves out.

Our advantage is that every person in the firm has run product, design, engineering or delivery inside a real company — under deadline, in front of a board, with a P&L behind them. That discipline shapes everything we do: how we phrase a recommendation, when we choose not to, and how we measure whether the work actually held.

— 01 / Operating Principles

Six commitments. Behaviours, not posters.

We don’t put values on a poster. We hold each other accountable to behaviours. Each one shows up as a meeting, an artefact, or a habit — the same discipline we bring to every client engagement.

— 01 / Behaviour over Belief

Culture is what teams actually do under deadline.

Values only matter when they show up in how teams plan, build, and ship. If they don’t survive a Friday afternoon, they were decoration.

— 02 / AI-Native, Not AI-Garnish

AI is load-bearing, or it isn’t there.

Model routing, evals, agent workflows and MCP belong inside the workflow — not on the brochure. We treat AI as infrastructure first.

— 03 / Configuration Beats Code

Repeatable expansion, not heroics.

If a new country, payment or campaign needs an engineer, the system isn’t finished. The platform you can configure is the one you don’t have to staff for.

— 04 / End-to-End Ownership

Design, Research, Engineering, QA, DevOps — one line.

Teams that own the whole product own the whole outcome. We refuse engagements where accountability is split across silos.

— 05 / Hire Seniority, Coach the Rest

Recruit operators. Mentor everyone.

Career frameworks, micro-reviews and coaching are part of every engagement. We’re building organisations, not features.

— 06 / Measure What You Ship

If it can’t be measured, it doesn’t exist.

Every initiative has a KPI tree back to the company strategy. No exceptions, no vanity metrics, no “directional” thinking that hides the result.

— 02 / The Bench

Senior practitioners, organised into pods.

We staff every engagement from a bench of principal-level operators — each one a domain lead who has shipped at scale, not a rotating analyst. For every client, we assemble a pod around the problem: platform, experience, design, and product, working as one accountable line.
